Downloads - Remote Desktop Client (RDC)
For all versions of Windows.
How To Use
- If you are running Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP or XP SP1, then connection through a proxy [server] (see step 2) is not supported. However, a direct connection requires an RDC download, so please proceed to step 3.
- If you are a large organisation, please contact your IT support to determine if you use a proxy [server] to connect to the internet. If you are using a proxy [server] you will require version 6.0 or 6.1 (recommended), so please proceed to step 3. If no proxy server is used, then you do not require the RDC download.
- Use the flowchart below to determine which version of the Remote Desktop Client you require.
- To determine which version of Windows you have, right-click My Computer on you desktop and select Properties and then select Computer Name.
- Click on the correct link at the bottom of the page.
- Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
